Prison Escape Unity Game



This was a 4 person project and first attempt at using the Unity Game Engine.  I helped with the prison in the beginning portion of the project, the raft, lighthouse, minor assets and supervising the level design and audio placements.  Our group used the Scorcese's movie, " Shutter Island" as our inspiration reference point and thought it would be fun to create a  horror prison environment that focused on psychological scares. 

From the dilapidated prison, howling wind, inmates knocking and the aftermath of something evil that has passed, our project was well received from our professors.

The only level design issue that was questioned was by a devil's advocate professor who asked why would a player go to the lighthouse to find the exit.  To this day, I still thought the large, towering landmark would be an obvious clue.  Not to be outdone, I had a friend play through it and they ran straight to the lighthouse.  When asked why, the response was perfect.  "I wanted to see everything."
